Information You Provide

  • Account information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account
  • Profile information: Display name, handicap, phone number, and avatar photo
  • Golf data: Scores, statistics, tournament results, and course preferences
  • Group data: Group memberships, roles, and tournament participation

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device location: GPS coordinates when you use the course GPS feature (only with your explicit permission)
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process tournament registrations and display leaderboards
  • Calculate and display player statistics
  • Provide GPS distance calculations on the course
  • Send notifications about tournaments, scores, and group activity
  • Communicate service updates and respond to support requests
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Within your groups: Your profile, scores, statistics, and tournament results are visible to members of groups you belong to
  • Service providers: We use third-party services (hosting, analytics) that may process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users

4. Location Data

The GPS feature requires access to your device's location. This data is used solely for real-time distance calculations on the golf course and is not stored on our servers. Location access can be revoked at any time through your device settings.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices. We use Supabase for data storage, which provides enterprise-grade security including encrypted connections, row-level security, and regular backups. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it. Aggregated, anonymized data (such as overall platform statistics) may be retained indefinitely.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information in your profile
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your scores and tournament data
  • Opt out of non-essential notifications
  • Revoke location permissions at any time

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

9. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We may use analytics tools to understand how users interact with the Service, which collect anonymized usage data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
